Exhibition opening Saturday March 17th at 7pm:
GODDESSES OF WINE. DIOSAS DEL VINO by Enric Servera. Until May 19th.
Engravings on wine, on used wine filters.
I am a visual artist, and one day I came across some used wine filter cartons, stained with the wines that had filtered through them, white and red.
I, who am, among other things, an artistic recycler of sorts, suddenly saw the plastic possibilities of the base product, which already had its own wear and tear due to the work they had done.
The filters suggested that I do a series of works about wine. But not only about the enjoyment and pleasure that wine gives us, I was also interested in delving deeper into the culture of wine and the different manufacturing processes.
In this series, which emerged in a fresh and inspiring way, it is almost always two naked female figures who are in a situation or process of elaboration. This fact does not go beyond an idealized "mythological" background that these generous created Goddesses, fertile mothers of the earth, wisely take care of all natural processes, with nothing to hide, without complexes, to enjoy it, and in order to achieve a successful and well-being result.
Long live good wine.
