SABATES NÀUFRAGUES is a photographic-literary and educational project created by: Natàlia Centelles (stories) and Enric Servera (photographs).
They are photographs of shoes found at sea, worn and eroded by the elements, which then have a narrative creation task of finding out how and who wore those shipwrecked shoes.
For the educational project, the idea is that, following this line, the children who visit the exhibition, let their imaginations run wild and invent a story, according to what each photograph suggests to them or take others and write a story about them.
The artistic thread is how a found object, "object trouve", which was also used by Duchamp, Miró, Picasso..., is transformed into a work of art and, based on reflection, a small literary creation is made of it. On the other hand, there is a fairly important issue treated, which is the environmental aspect of our aquatic ecosystem.
The exhibition of the educational project SABATES NAUFRAGUES will be inaugurated on October 21 of this year at the Sala de Cultura Sa Nostra in Ciutadella and on December 1 at the Sala de Sa Nostra in Maó.
I hope you can visit it, and if not I'll leave you with a visual below.
