NORTH Series

NORD is an artistic project that I have been researching technically, formally and conceptually for a short time, but it serves as a specific reason for me to continue delving deeper into what my creative process between painting and engraving would be. A dialogue that is sometimes difficult to define, where ideas and emotions unite, separate and converge as they express themselves intuitively.

I am moved by formal, chromatic, textual concerns without words … by emotions. Wanting to interpret something that you have experienced or that you have felt, that goes from the figurative to the abstract almost without realizing it. This happens in the natural landscape, and very specifically in the stones and rocks of the North coast of Menorca which I interpret in this series of monoprints (Painting and engraving), made from collagraph plates and monotypes, on paper on rigid support of 105 x 65cm.
